Bernard Shaw's 1984 comedy Candida is coming to the Royal George Theatre this summer. Taking on the eponymous role as Candida Morell is Sochi Fried, and she will be supported by Sanjay Talwar playing the part of her husband, Reverence James Mavor Morell, and Johnathan Sousa as her hopeful paramour and worshipper, Eugene Marchbanks. What's it about?

Ever the true Christian, Reverend Morell brings in a young man, Marchbanks, off the street and into his home. However, when Candida appears, Marchbanks is besotted and seeks to rescue her from her apparently boring life. Who will Candida choose as her heart is torn in two directions?
