Watch the Band
Canada's pre-eminent rock band released their third record Fully Completely in 1992. Opening with Courage (for Hugh MacLennan) and closing with Eldorado, it was an album which fully established the group's brand of intelligent alt. rock and proved to be a big domestic hit. Lead singer Gord Downie in particular came into his own on the record, with a tracks like Locked in the Trunk of a Car, a song told from the perspective of Pierre Laporte, displaying his stunning lyrical dexterity and sureness.
The band are heading out onto the road in support of their new record, Man Machine Poem, which is due to be released June 17th. Despite the sad news that Gord has been diagonosed with incurable brain cancer, the tour will continue as planned this summer. Catch them at in , , .
